Christmas Gift Guide for Her…for All Budgets!

Facebooktwittergoogle_pluspinterestmail

It’s a poorly-kept secret that I love Christmas from having the chance to catch up with friends and family, to drinking and eating LOADS! I’m that annoying person we all know that’s wearing Christmas jumpers, that dresses my dogs up in Christmas jumpers (all 3 of them have their own!) and that’s just generally mildly obsessed with all things festive…I’m basically Will Ferrell in Elf!

But as cheesy as it is, my favourite part of Christmas genuinely is buying gifts, and finding little gems that my family and friends will love. However, I know that for a lot of people, Christmas shopping can be a nightmare, and cause a lot of stress and panic. With that in mind, I’ve put together two Gift Guides for all budgets – this one to help you along with choosing amazing presents for your Mum, sister, friend etc., and the 2nd one will be for the men in your life – Dads, brothers and other halves. This one was very easy to put together – a lot of the stuff are bits and pieces I have on my own Christmas wishlist! So read on for some fabulous present inspiration…

Gifts Under €25

Britney Mug (Urban Outfitters, €12.50)

Can we just stop for a minute to appreciate the brilliance of this mug? I’m a fan of the slogan mug in general, and if you’ve been following The Dupe Diaries for a while, you may have spotted my ‘You have as many hours in the day as Beyonce’ mug, and perhaps a glimpse of the ‘MAC Addict’ mug I bought for Sara! This semi-motivational mug would be a brilliant gift in my book (my friends and family reading this – take note!), and I can’t think of any girl I know who wouldn’t love it!

Meet Matt(e) Hughes Liquid Lipstick from The Balm (Cloud10 Beauty, €15.50)

This for me is the best liquid lipstick I’ve tried so far – it’s matte (hence the name) and long-lasting, without being drying (amazing, considering how dry my lips are). I have it in the shade, ‘Committed’, which is a lovely neutral nude colour, but there 7 other shades to pick from! A great stocking filler or small gift, even if they aren’t massively into make-up.

Ban.do Good Ideas Notebook Set (Hippenings, €17.50)

I have to admit I am a little obsessed with the Hippenings site – so many pretty things! This little notebook is gorgeous and would make for a lovely gift. They also stock the fabulous (but a little pricey) Kate Spade agendas and other stationery bits and bobs, so it’s well worth a look!

99% Chance Hip Flask (Urban Outfitters, €11)

Hip flasks have featured regularly in my Secret Santa presents/stocking fillers over the years…I just think they make perfect gifts! This little slogan 1 is perfect for your friend or sister, and is something a little different from the norm.

Sunglasses from The Spoilt Bitch Club (The Spoilt Bitch Club, €27)

If you haven’t heard of this amazing Irish Instashop yet…you’ve been missing out! With a range of sunnies that are on trend, in the style of your favourite celebs (Kylie Jenner’s Dior sunnies anyone??!) and really affordable, it has become my go-to shop for sunglasses (I have another pair ordered as we speak!). A perfect present for any stylish ladies in your life, and they have a fantastic range to choose from!

The Manizer Sisters Palette from The Balm (Cloud10 Beauty, €28)

I mentioned this a while back, and for my birthday a few weeks ago, my brother picked up on the not-so-subtle hint and got me this. It’s a gorgeous trio of highlighters containing the cult Mary-Lou Manizer (it’s a must-have product for most make-up artists), as well as Cindy-Lou and Betty-Lou Manizer. There’s a reason this has gained cult status – it is the most beautiful, subtle highlighter, that gives you a glow rather than too much sparkle, and I love that the palette gives you 3 products that you can switch between for just €28.

The Pippa Palette by Blank Canvas (Blank Canvas, €34.99)

The lovely Pippa released this palette a few months back, and it’s been hard to get your hands on one since as they keep selling out, and with good reason. With 6 shadows, 1 blush, 1 highlighter and 1 contour powder, this is like a full face in a box! The shades are so wearable for day or night, and wear really well, so it’s a no-brainer for any make-up fiends you’re struggling to buy a gift for. It’ll be back in stick by 11th December, so be quick because it will 100% be gone again in the blink of an eye!

Soap and Glory Get a Smooth On Set (Boots, €50)

I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love a Soap and Glory Christmas set. I get one from my Mum and Dad nearly every year, and they never disappoint! They usually come jam-packed with products and in a carry case, but this overnight bag is absolutely gorgeous and is full of their fabulous skin-smoothing products. Plus you can avail of the Boots’ 3 for 2 deal…always a winner!

Glamglow Thirstymud (Cloud10 Beauty, €56)

I’m a massive Glamglow advocate and have converted many of my friends and family into devout fans too. It’s a lovely pampering product, and would make a lovely girly gift for anyone. I have the Youthmud, but I have tried a sample of the Thirstymud, so this is actually on my own Christmas list! They also have Powermud, Supermud and Brightmud, so loads of options to suit the lucky recipient of this gift!

Diptyque ‘Sapin’ Scented Candle (SpaceNK, €58)

These candles are the ultimate luxury for anyone, and I adore them! Although there are loads of scents, this is my favourite as it’s part of their seasonal line and is a gorgeous Christmasy smell that works all year round, with a woody undertone mixed with citrus notes…I defy you not to fall in love with it instantly…amazing!  This isn’t the type of thing you’d buy for yourself because it’s on the expensive side (even though the candle is pretty big!), so it makes a great Christmas gift, and they burn for AGES!

Marc by Marc Jacobs Cat Eye Sunglasses (ShopBop, €94.67)

A gorgeous gift for your Mum, or any designer-loving friends or siblings! From the classic, retro style to the designer label, this is a gift to gain serious brownie points. The cat eye shape is universally flattering and the price tag is very reasonable for such a luxury brand.

Pomegranate Noir Cologne (Brown Thomas, €110)

One of my all-time favourite Jo Malone scents, and of a lot of other people’s too. It always reminds me of my Mum, and has pink pepper undertones with the pomegranate notes that make it a spicy, woody fragrance (like me, she isn’t a huge fan of floral scents!). Each bottle does me between 8 months to a year so it is actually reasonable value, and it’s one of those fragrances that lasts all day with only a few spritzes. This is always a solid gift idea for my Mum, and it’s something that she wouldn’t buy for herself but has used for years as she loves getting it as a present. This limited edition bottle would look so luxurious on a dressing table too! Jo Malone have a wide range of scents, so if you think they’d prefer a floral or citrus fragrance, there’s something for everyone!

Daniel Wellington Classic St Mawes Lady Rose Gold Watch (Fields, €179)

This is obviously on the pricey side of things when to gifts, but whether it’s on your Santa wishlist or you pitch in with siblings or friends to buy it for someone lucky, Daniel Wellington watches are the ultimate accessory! Since I got mine a month ago, it’s barely left my wrist, and looks fab whether it’s flying solo or paired with stacked bracelets. There’s a reason they’re plastered all over Instagram, Pinterest and Tumblr…they’re bloody gorgeous!

These are just a few ideas to give you some inspiration when it comes to gifts for the ladies in your life, but there are so many great places to shop and find fab presents. If you’re strapped for cash, fear not! Some of the best presents I have ever given were when I was on my impoverished college student budget, because I had to put more thought into it and get a bit creative. My Dad’s favourite present I ever got him was a photo book with some fantastic shots of our family, him and his friends, him and my Mum and other memorable moments. It cost next to nothing but he still keeps it to this day! Look for budget-friendly gifts on Photobox, in Boots’ 3 for 2 deals, in Urban Outfitters gift section (funny, quirky gifts can be brilliant!), TK Maxx for serious discounts on designer bits and pieces, or from e.l.f., Kiko and NYX for your make-up mad friends and family!

Make sure you enter our Insta competition to win the stunning Jessup brush set we featured a while back too…an ideal Christmas gift for anyone…or just for yourself!

Happy Shopping,
