Christmas Gift Guide for Him…for All Budgets!

Following our Gift Guide for Her from the other day, we have one for the men in your life too! Men can be actually harder to buy for than the ladies in your life, but we have plenty of suggestions to get you sorted…

Gifts Under €25

An Idiot Abroad: The Travel Diaries of Karl Pilkington (Amazon, from €4.68)

I do not know any single human being who would not find Karl Pilkington hilarious. His travel exploits have been well-documented on ‘An Idiot Abroad’, but the book is such a fantastic read that it makes a brilliant gift (I gave it to my brother a few years ago before robbing it to read it myself!). His other books are brilliant too, in particular ‘The Moaning of Life’ – I defy you not to love them! Plus at this price, they’re a no-brainer.

An Idiot Abroad

Man Mug (I Want One of Those, €11.15)

This is one of my absolute favourite sites for little stocking fillers, Secret Santa gifts and little quirky, humourous gifts, and this mug is genius! Ideal for any DIY-fanatics (we have a few in my family) with some clever little features like the saw handle, ruler and spirit level. I love little tongue-in-cheek gifts that make people laugh, and this is definitely 1 of those! Plus IWOOT has a deal where you get certain items on a 3 for £20 deal (roughly €27), so it’s really good value too!

Man Mug

Bulldog Skincare Kit for Men (Cloud 10 Beauty, €19.95)

This cute little set has a washbag, face wash, scrub and moisturiser, so it’s not too intense for the skincare-averse man in your life. The products are actually really good, and the packaging is pretty masculine, so it’ll be a welcome gift!

‘Where Chefs Eat’ by Phaidon (East Dane, €22.92)

For any foodies, this would be a brilliant gift. With 3000 restaurants in 70 countries, and with contributions from 600 of the world’s best chefs, this is a bible for good food wherever you find yourself! Anyone who’s into good food will love this present – it makes a great read as well as being a useful guide!

Gifts Under €50

Deluxe Scratch Map (Urban Outfitters, €35)

A fantastic gift for any keen travellers in your life! A friend of mine has this in his apartment, and it looks really cool and arty on the wall. You just scratch the foil off any countries or areas you’ve visited with a coin – a very unusual and thoughtful gift!

Toast n Egg Toaster by Tefal (I Want One of Those, €42.29)

My boyfriend and brothers would lose their minds with this as a gift! Who doesn’t love toast and eggs for breakfast?! While it’s somewhat of a novelty gift, it is actually really handy and will get used…who doesn’t want toast and eggs in the morning in 4 minutes with no fuss or mess?! A guaranteed hit!

Micro Drone by M:Tech (Urban Outfitters, €49)

Its no secret that boys love their toys…particularly of the gadget type. While this might seem like the type of item a child might play with, make no mistake about it – men are basically overgrown children, and the fact that it’s a drone makes it very high-tech and sophisticated!

Gifts Under €100

Homemade Gin Kit (Urban Outfitters, €62.25)

This is the kind of gift that would be right up my Dad’s street – the chance to home-brew! Transform a humble bottle of vodka into a bespoke gin with this kit. I think this would be perfect for the person who has everything (like my Dad), who loves quirky little gifts (like my Dad), and has a penchant for playing barman and creating bespoke, but questionable concoctions for any parties (like my Dad).

Adidas Adi Ease Trainers in Dark Grey (Schuh, €65)

What guy doesn’t love a new pair of runners?! They’re always a safe bet for presents for my brothers or boyfriend, who have loads of pairs, but can never have enough! These Adidas beauties are stylish and could be worn with pretty much anything, and the colour is neutral without being boring.

Gifts Over €100

Ray-Ban Polar Aviators in Style RB3526 (Brown Thomas, €138)

As you can probably tell from yesterday’s post and a lot of our previous posts, I am a sunglasses fiend! I love them, and think a nice pair makes a fab gift. Ray-Ban Aviators are a classic style, that are always in fashion, for even the most conservative guy in your life! Designer sunnies are a gift you have for life, and the fact they’re polarised means they’re brilliant for driving too.

Ray Bans

Michael Kors Gage Stainless Steel Watch (ASOS, €266.18 (reduced from €380.89))

If you’re going to splash out on a special gift for one of the men in your life, this watch is the business. It’s timeless (excuse the horrific pun), and again, something that will be kept for life. I love the large face, and classic silver and black combination, with the chronograph design – really elegant and luxurious! Any man would be thrilled to receive this…a knockout gift!

Ugg Australia Ascot Slippers (Schuh, €113)

If you’ve never owned a pair of sheepskin slippers, you may be scoffing at the fact that anyone would spend this amount of money on a pair of slippers but I can assure you, they’re worth every penny! This is the ultimate dad present and great for the man who has everything, as it’s not something you’d typically buy yourself. These are the comfiest slippers, lined in cosy sheepskin, are extremely hard wearing and they look quite stylish. Whoever the man is that you’re buying these for, he’ll love them!

Again, these are just some suggestions to act as inspiration for the perfect gift for the men in your life! If you’re on a tight budget, I would suggest looking at PhotoBox, as I mentioned in the last post, Amazon (what man doesn’t like books, DVDs etc.), I Want One of Those (as mentioned above, one of my favourites!) and Boots (for their amazing gift sets on 3 for 2 deals…winning!).

Enjoy your shopping!
