MAC Pink Dupes

You all know that here at The Dupe Diaries, we’re on a mission to find your favourite beauty products for less. Our latest hunt for bright pink MAC lipstick dupes certainly won’t disappoint. We’ve found three fantastic dupes for best selling MAC lippies. These three shades are quite different so we’re confident that there’s something here for everyone!

MAC Girl About Town (Brown Thomas, €20) vs Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 20 (Boots, €6.99)
MACs ever famous Girl About Town lippie is a great bright shade and is a little easier to pull off than the likes of neon or baby pinks. The clean pink colour is very flattering on Irish skin tones and has a blue undertone which makes your teeth appear whiter…winning! It comes in an Amplified finish so its lovely and creamy and has a nice glossy look. I recently dug this Rimmel number out of my makeup collection and noticed how similar they were. Nearly identical! The colour and finish is spot on and the longevity is brill. I don’t love all Rimmel lipsticks – I personally don’t like their matte ones – I find them a bit drying – but this one is really lovely, looks great on and lasts well. What more could you want!?
MAC Candy Yum Yum (Brown Thomas, €20) vs Wet’n’Wild Dollhouse Pink (Penneys and selected pharmacies, €2.99)
This shade of pink from MAC is the ultimate statement lip. If you have to buy a shade for a summer holiday or upcoming music festival, let it be this bright, neon pink.  MAC’s Candy Yum Yum is a clean, bright pink matte lipstick that screams summer! We’ve already talked a lot about the Wet’n’Wild lipsticks. They’re fab quality and they’ve made more than a few high end dupes. This particular shade is a dead ringer for Candy Yum Yum – shame shade but a slightly more flattering tone than Candy Yum Yum – and at €2.99, a lot cheaper. I know which one I’ll be bringing with me to Electric Picnic.
MAC Impassioned (Brown Thomas, €20) vs Catrice Luminous Lips in Kiss Kiss Hibiscus (Penneys and selected pharmacies, €4.49)
This MAC lipstick is so underrated in my eyes. It’s such a good fuchsia shade and is a bit easier to wear than a bright pink. It’s a great summer alternative to a red lip, as it looks great with a summer glow. It has an Amplified finish so it’s creamy and full coverage, full of colour! I actually first bought this Catrice one ages ago, long before I had Impassioned and loved the colour for summer nights out. It’s an identical match, colour-wise. The only difference is the finish. It’s very similar to the Amplified finish of Impassioned but is slightly less long-wearing. Other than that, these two lippies are twins!
Note: All MAC lipsticks are worn on the top lip, while their dupes are worn on the bottom lip!

What’s your favourite pink lipstick? Is it high end or a budget friendly buy?
