Nu Skin Whitening Toothpaste – Is it Really Worth the Hype??

Teeth whitening has become part and parcel of the standard beauty regime for many of us at this stage, and most of us have tried plenty of products in an effort to get a whiter and brighter smile. From professional treatments, to iWhite and Crest strips, I’ve tried my share over the years, with varying levels of success. So, when images of this new Ap24 Whitening Fluoride Toothpaste by Nu Skin started clogging up my Facebook and Instagram newsfeeds, I was skeptical to say the least.

Even though I’m a marketer’s dream when it comes to new product launches and their claims, the sudden explosion of this product all over social media, along with the ‘before and after’ photos which seemed a little too good to be true – it just seemed like another round of hype stemming from a big PR push to get it out there amongst bloggers and the likes. So, when Jennifer from Beautify Me contacted us, asking if she could send us some products to try, I was curious to say the least.

The toothpaste claims to whiten and brighten teeth while fighting plaque formation, remove stains and aid the prevention of cavities, all without the use of harmful peroxides – sounds good, but did it deliver?

Well, in short (and it pains my cynical, suspicious side to admit this), YES – it absolutely delivered, on a number of fronts. Firstly, what I have found previously with whitening toothpaste is that while it might do a bit of whitening, I don’t usually feel like it actually cleans my teeth, so I usually end up using it with another toothpaste. Thankfully for those of us who find that way too much hassle, this toothpaste does the full job, and leaves my mouth feeling clean and fresh.

But more importantly, does it actually whiten? I think the before and after photos say it all! I was genuinely noticing a difference within a week, which really surprised me, as if I’m honest, I was expecting to be underwhelmed! And over the last month, it’s really brightened up my teeth, as well as a few little stains lightening up too.

I have to admit that I’ve been really impressed with this toothpaste, which I really didn’t expect, and for €12.50, it’s a far more affordable option than some of the alternatives. As well as that, it’s gentler, lasts longer and is lower maintenance (no messy trays or sticking things on your teeth for half an hour!), so I would highly recommend it above the other whitening lotions and potions that I’ve used!
